2010 New North Gallery exhibition of GROUP M photographs

An exhibition was held in 2010 at the New North Gallery (now closed) in Fairfield, Melbourne.

While there were about 20 in the original Group M, six were represented in this exhibition - and just three members were still alive (George Bell had died in 2008).

The three were, from Melbourne, Albert Brown and John Crook, and one from Perth, Richard Woldendorp.

John Crook has just the one original photograph in the exhibition as his work has been destroyed in the 1983 Ash Wednesday bushfires.

The gallery director organised the printing of the photographs for the exhibition. The photographs on this page are those by George W Bell that were in the exhibition.
