Albert Brown
Australian photographer, foundation member of Group M
Albert Brown (1931-2017) was one of the key people in the Melbourne photographer's group - Group M.
One of Albert's significant roles was to promote the group's cause,
creating a network of supporters in galleries, archives, and academia.
Given the 2018 anniversary held at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) celebrating 50 years, it is important to recognise the significance of Albert Brown's efforts in1966 in the creation of the Photographic Department at the National Gallery of Victoria.
