website:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Anne Zahalka rewrites the Australian myth with her latest photography exhibition, <em>The Landscape Revisited.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Photographed in Beechworth, the exhibition explores the imagery of iconic Australian paintings including works by Frederick McCubbin, Tom Roberts, Jane Sutherland, Sidney Nolan and Russell Drysdale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1728\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theartmuseum.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/zahalka-The-Immigrants-1985.jpg\" alt width=\"602\" height=\"470\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">These images are carefully staged to reconstruct the celebrated paintings \u2014 now with a&nbsp;different cast, exploring ideas of belonging, displacement, discrimination, exile and&nbsp;home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Working with iconic images from Australian art Anne Zahalka explores the construction of a&nbsp;less romantic, less masculine and less Anglo-centric image of Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Photographs, original collages and related material show an ongoing exploration by the artist that spans over
